(Answering this OOC (and before all the others sitting in my ask) because I actually have some data on this. And were I to answer in character it would just be something like “what” but anyway:

Adam is an ancestor of all the Assassins in the gameverse. I don’t think he’s still alive, and if he is, he is not someone or something that could have simply been kidnapped by Abstergo. Plus, how would he have the memories of all of those ancestors if he WAS the furthest ancestor?

On the subject of Desmond’s dad, many of us believe Desmond’s father is actually William, seen in emails with Lucy as well as featured in the DLC actually addressed as William. His surname initial is M (Miles) and at the end of the the Di Vinci Disappearance, when it is revealed that Des has fallen into a coma, William says something that strongly alludes to Desmond having been in a similar situation in the past. 

Honestly, I think Subject 16 is a distant cousin or relative. Their common ancestor is Ezio and, as we all know, that was 500 years ago and the Auditore boy did sleep around a lot.

To be truthful, I don’t think Sixteen really knows Desmond, just that he is Subject 17.

So, in my, the blog creator’s truthful OPINION neither of you are. And honestly, Sixteen wouldn’t know either. Gotta remember he don’t know much.
